Ariana Grande London Shows Impose Strict Clear-bag Rule At The O2

Fans attending Ariana Grande’s ten London concerts must use a fully transparent bag that meets strict size limits. Cameras and recording equipment are also prohibited, while medical and childcare bags will require security inspection.

Ariana Grande fans heading to The O2 this summer are being warned to check a concert-specific clear-bag policy before travelling, with ordinary handbags and other opaque bags barred from the arena.

Each ticket holder may bring one completely transparent bag made from clear plastic, vinyl or PVC. It must not have colour tints, prints, patterns or logos and cannot exceed 30cm by 15cm by 30cm, according to The O2’s event guidance for Ariana Grande.

Alternatively, concertgoers can use one resealable transparent freezer or zip-lock bag measuring no more than 30cm by 26cm. Fans are being encouraged to carry only essential items, all of which must be placed individually inside the clear bag rather than stored in smaller pouches or bags within it.

The requirement is mandatory for ticketed attendees and is stricter than the venue’s normal rules. Under The O2’s usual arena terms, visitors can generally carry one bag no larger than A4 size or a standard handbag. The tour-specific clear-bag instruction therefore takes precedence for Grande’s concerts.

Medical, accessibility and parent or childcare bags are exempt from the transparent-bag requirement when they are essential, but security staff will inspect them before entry.

Professional or standalone cameras, video cameras and other recording devices are also prohibited. Mobile phones with built-in cameras are permitted, meaning fans will still be able to take photographs on their phones unless additional instructions are issued inside the venue.

Ticketmaster says the concerts will use mobile entry. Attendees should open their ticket in the Ticketmaster app or add it to their mobile wallet before leaving home, reducing the risk of delays caused by weak mobile reception around the arena.

Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour will include ten nights at The O2 in Greenwich, making it one of London’s largest pop residencies of 2026.

The concerts are scheduled for:

15, 16, 19, 20, 23, 24, 27, 28 and 31 August, followed by a final show on 1 September.

Current Ticketmaster listings for the London concerts show different start times across the residency. Several weekday performances are listed for 6.30pm, while some Sunday and bank holiday dates begin at 6pm. Fans should check the time printed on their individual ticket rather than relying on another concert date.

Standing areas are restricted to people aged over 16. Ticketmaster states that seated attendees under 15 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.

The residency marks Grande’s first London concert run since her Sweetener World Tour. That tour also operated clear-bag rules at several venues, meaning the approach is not entirely new for her live shows, although fans who have attended other concerts at The O2 may not be familiar with the tighter requirements.

The London dates follow the release of Grande’s eighth studio album, Petal, which is due on 31 July. Universal Music’s album announcement says the record was executive produced and co-written by Grande and ILYA and will be released through Republic Records.

Fans arriving with a bag that does not meet the rules risk being delayed or refused entry with the item. The safest option is to travel without a bag or measure a fully transparent one before setting off, while anyone relying on an exemption should allow additional time for inspection.
